Daequan Returns to Twitch

Former TSM, now-NRG content creator Daequan Loco or simply Daequan announces twitch comeback stream after a nearly two-year absence on the platform.

Daequan is an extremely popular Twitch and YouTube content creator with millions of followers. He regularly plays Fortnite and seems at the top of his game. But in January 2020, he announced that he would be taking a break in order to focus on his health. Back then, he told his fans that his hiatus would just be short and he even set an expected return.

However, Daequan failed to make his promised Twitch return after the rest of the year rolled by. In November 2020, Daequan tweeted that he felt better than he had in years and then went almost entirely radio silent.

Then now, in the mid-August, Daequan together with his fellow streamer and friend Darryle Hamlin aka Hamlinz has taken over the internet after announcing their return leaving TSM and inked a rich new deal with NRG Esports. Because of this, many fans have expected that Daequan will also be returning on Twitch soon. Earlier in september 3rd, Daequan confirmed he would be streaming on Twitch and locked in an official comeback date. He tweeted out; “Saturday… my stream is gonna go crazy. Be there.”

Daequan made his return to Twitch on September 4th at 4 PM PST. The stream lasted for four and a half hours and consisted primarily of Daequan giving a tour of the new house he is living in, chatting, and just generally having a good time. After a yearlong absence, Daequan still had 3.7 million followers on Twitch, and that number grew to 4 million by the end of the livestream.
