CodeMiko Didn’t Know who Mike Shinodan Was

Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park is a legend among alternative music lovers, but Twitch streamer CodeMiko and League of Legends’ Ovilee May had seemed to have no idea who he was.

Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park is nearly a household name for rocker kids from the 1990s and 2000s. The band’s blend of classic rock sounds with rap-style lyrics set them apart from their competition, as evidenced by legendary tracks like ‘In The End’ and ‘Numb.’ The legendary record producer was among those who walked the red carpet at Riot Games’ Arcane Global Premiere as a major fan of both League of Legends and Valorant, but it turns out former LCS broadcaster turned LoL star, Ovilee May, had no idea who he was.

However, things only got worse from there, since Twitch sensation CodeMiko had no idea who he was when he raided her channel.

As ‘field reporter’ Ovilee May began questioning this enigmatic guy, she inquired as to whether he was looking forward to attending the premiere. She goes on to inquire his name after he admits that he feels like a “fish out of water” because Valorant is his true love. Ovilee’s jaw drops to the floor as he responds saying; “my name is Mike Shinoda, I play in a band called Linkin Park,” and Shinoda quickly brushes it off with “she didn’t know that, this is a great reaction!”

Embarrassed Ovilee then proceeds to pass the mic to the Linkin Park star, before getting on her knees and bowing to him, saying “thank you so much, thank you for everything, you’re amazing. I apologize for my transgressions! You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to the world.”

Now, later that week, the self-proclaimed “best thing that ever happened to the world” raided Twitch star CodeMiko. For the day, the V-Tuber had dropped her virtual alias and appeared on-stream in person. She asks; “Who’s OfficialMikeShinoda?” Then a friend quickly informs her about him, her co-star responds “Oh! Linkin Park? ” which Miko immediately joins in despite clearly being pretty clueless.

Trying to flip-flop, her friend accuses her of not having a clue who he is, to which she responds “you’re right, you’re right, but you didn’t either!”
