BikiniBodhi Is Banned

Fnatic member and Rainbow Six Siege content creator BikiniBodhi has recently been banned from Twitch for streaming the LEC Summer Split playoffs without Riot’s permission.

The DMCA Takedowns are becoming more and more common in streaming platform Twitch and recently, one streamer was issued a strike and banned on the platform for breaking the said rule, resulting in his first ban because he restreamd the 2021 LEX SUmmer Playoffs.

BikiniBodhi is a content creator under the brand of Fnatic and he has amassed more than 1.7 million followers on YouTube. He recently broadcast the 2021 LEC Summer Playoffs to show for his org Fnatic as they played with their long time rival, G2.

The streamer was excited to watch his team but he doesn’t know the consequences of streaming it on his channel without permission.

The LEC has strict regulations regarding its rebroadcasting rules and only sleeved serial streamers and partners of Riot who have legal precision from them to broadcast the stream but it seems that BikiniBodhi wasn’t aware of that.

BikiniBodhi received his first ever Twitch ban and shared to his fans and followers that it was probably due to DMCA. Some streamers with the same DMCAstrike lasted their suspension for 24 hours and many hoped that BikiniBodhi would also last shorter.
