AuronPlay Succeeds

In the short run, the exodus of youtubers to Twitch begins to pay dividends. AuronPlay, aka Raul lvarez Genes, came in first among Spanish-speaking streamers with more than 10 million followers.

A Popular Twitch streamer AuronPlay was one of the first to shift their material from YouTube to Twitch in search of more revenue, with 4.3 million hours consumed by its audience and close to 46,000 paying monthly subscriptions.

The Catalan, who now has a role in the TortillaLand Minecraft video game series, is now the world’s third most popular streamer. They merely outperform him. Ninja has 16.9 million people, while Tfue has slightly over 10 million. Both are English-language content creators who became famous for their Fortnite prowess.

Part of this success can be attributed to the TortillaLand project, a Twitch-based series that brought together some of the most influential Spanish-speaking content creators.

According to a release, TortillaLand has amassed more than 337 million impressions and 214 million followers among all authors, making it the most popular series in recent memory.

Similarly, the one from Badalona (Spain) ran formats like An afternoon with colleagues, a chat show with key individuals from the media landscape, and was involved in the presentation of Giants’ makeover, among other things.

Streaming is becoming increasingly popular among teens and others who aren’t so young. Until now, the most popular video site was YouTube, which is owned by Google, but Twitch has been named the absolute queen of global streaming.

Amazon’s platform is now the entry point for younger consumers who aren’t interested in watching television.

According to Streamlabs, Twitch had more than 6.5 billion hours watched in the second quarter of 2021. This represents a 27 percent increase. Generation Z, or young people aged 16 to 24, is mostly responsible for this surge.

The main Spanish streamers with millions of followers can be found on Twitch: Ibai Llanos (7.9M), Nickmercs (6.2M), and Rubius (9.9M). Auronplay, on the other hand, has amassed a following of over ten million in less than three years on the platform.

Unlike the others who tried to remake themselves to fit the platform’s trends, Raul lvarez Genes stuck to his original approach, which is to say, he generally produces broadcasts on video games, in which he mostly appeals to amusing comments from all types of people.
