Asmongold Against Gambling Streams

One of the OTk organization founders and a Twitch streamer Asmongold has weighed in the new controversy on the platform about gabling streams stating that Twitch should ban the gambling streams altogether. The amazon owned streaming platform twitch has become a home of entertainment and games in the past years. However, some categories sometimes cause some controversy within the community.

In the past months, the hot tub streams and the ASMR ‘earlicking’ streams have been at the center of drama. Some streamers are calling out for twitch to take action before everything gets out of hand. So, twitch has made some changes as they introduce new categories such as the ‘pools, beaches and hot tubs’ for the hot tub streamers and they banned the two biggest streamers AMouranth and indeifoxx for doing the ASMR ‘earlicking’ streams.

Now, another controversy has been coming out on the platform and that is the twitch gambling streams which has come under fire before. Plenty has been made of these gambling streams in the past but twitch streamer Asmongold wants things to change. He posted a tweet recently stating that twitch needs to ban the gambling streams altogether before it can cause a bigger problem in the future in so many ways.

He also referenced EU gambling laws and how they could pose trouble.

Several users have responded to Asmongold’s tweet stating that some of the member of the OTK group have taken up these streams before. Asmongold was quick to respond stating; “I don’t hold doing gambling streams against any streamer because of how lucrative and successful they are. It’s entirely Twitch’s responsibility to uphold integrity on their own site, not the streamers.”
