Artesian Builds Suspends All Business

Artesian Builds, a company that has been at the center of a Twitch community dispute for the past week, stated on Tuesday that it has stopped all activities. The news comes after the CEO of the PC manufacturing business mocked a small streamer named Kiapiaa who won one of their PC giveaways and refused to give her the prize, sparking widespread outrage online.

On Twitter, the company announced, “We are sad to announce that, effective now, we are freezing/suspending all activities. Ongoing is analysis by outside counsel for [reorganization] to ensure fair treatment of clients, creditors, and employees. We expect more info by month’s end. We are open to assistance/investment.”

The organization has received a lot of negative feedback online after hosting a giveaway stream last week. That prize was for Artesian Builds brand ambassadors, who are streamers who sign up to represent the firm by advertising it on-stream and in their biographies in exchange for a tiny percentage on any PC purchases. After Kiapiaa’s name was chosen live on television, CEO Noah Katch made a series of comments regarding Kia’s fan base before denying her the PC.

Kia said on Twitter after she was rejected; “If you haven’t heard @ArtesianBuilds do not care about their small streamer ambassadors. They have monthly PC giveaways for their ambassadors, great, right? Except they don’t care for small streamers. I got chosen and they changed their rules last minute. I won the PC Fair and square. The rules say that you need the Artesian panel in your twitch About, and I do have it. So what’s the issue @AretsianBuilds?”

On March 1st, Artesian Builds issued an early, poorly received “apology,” followed by a more contrite statement in which they admitted Kia was the rightful owner of the PC. Kia, on the other hand, had turned down the PC offer to stand with mini streamers all over the place, so it was too late for the corporation to repair that bridge. Kia also ironically gained thousands of followers throughout the road, as the issue brought her to the attention of a wider audience, resulting in her becoming a much bigger streamer by the conclusion.
