Amouranth Wants A Fortnite Skin

Players of Fortnite have been pushing on social media for Twitch streamer Amouranth to get her own Icon skin in Fortnite, and the well-known content creator is on board with the idea.

Amouranth is a prominent female streamer on Twitch, where she has amassed 5.8 million Twitch followers. She also has a sizable 2.8 million followers on Twitter and is the top content creator on Onlyfans, where she has amassed the most followers. Now, she is campaigning for her very own Icon skin with the help of her followers. On September 18th, Twitch streamer actingliketommy posted the concept of an Amouranth Icon Skin, expressing his personal desire in seeing Amouranth potentially come to life in Fortnite.

Amouranth replied to the tweet shortly after it was sent, and she quoted tweeted an emoji of crossed fingers. Actingliketommy’s first tweet sparked a range of reactions from the community, with some people supporting and others opposing the idea of an Amouranth Icon skin. Actingliketommy discussed his reasoning for thinking Amouranth would be a wonderful addition to the game as a skin in a series of posts, pointing out similarities to other skins already in the game and expressing his opinion on the “judgement” of women in society.

Actingliketommy responded to a Twitter user by saying, “I saw this fake emote thing w/ a character in a bathing suit and I thought, this would be perfect for her. Oddly, I’m discovering some of the community has a hideous (wong) judgement of certain types of women. Feels like we’re still in the 1950s around here.”

However, not everyone concurs with Tommy’s philosophy or believes that wearing an Amouranth skin would be suitable at all.  A Fortnite skin line called Icon pays homage to some of the greatest pop culture creators. Mega popstars and basketball luminaries like Ariana Grande and LeBron James, as well as well-known game content creators like Ninja, have all used the Icon skin series to pay tribute to some of the most significant figures in their industries. 

The Amouranth Icon skin is now only a suggestion floating around the world waiting to be picked up, however it would be interesting to see if this wish gets granted in the future. Amouranth’s followers can continue to support the content creator in the meantime by watching her regular streams.
