Amouranth G4 Appearance

Twitch streamer Amouranth’s appearance on G4 sparked an internet debate after the Twitch streamer wore a bikini during a segment.  Some viewers are accusing the gaming YouTube channel of ignoring Xplay host Froskurinn’s viral speech on sexism.

Indiana ‘Froskurinn’ Black of G4TV went viral in January after delivering a sexist rant during an Xplay live performance. Viewers who constantly compared her physical appearance to previous hosts Morgan Webb and Olivia Munn were reprimanded by the 30-year-old. 

Following Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa’s March appearance on the gaming channel, the moment resurfaced online months later. The Twitch star’s swimsuit segment triggered a social media controversy about G4’s failure to support Froskurinn. 

Froskurinn said during her now-famous statement that female hosts’ appearances were not part of their profession. In January, she stated; “Women do not exist to be nice on the eyes for you. Morgan Webb, Oliva Munn, did not exist to be nice on the eyes for you!”

However, in March, Amouranth came on the G4TV AustinShow wearing a bikini, and the segment went viral for the second time. As a part of the ‘NameYourPrice’ game, the Twitch star rolled around in a children’s ball pit while the 100 Thieves creator jokingly exclaimed, “Everyone loves playing with balls!”

G4 began trending on social media shortly after the show was released to YouTube, thanks to Amouranth’s clothing, which sparked a dispute among viewers. Some people were enraged by the streamer’s guest spot, claiming that it was an example of the objectification that Froskurinn had criticized. Many Froskurinn fans shared her viral statement and criticized G4, with one user writing, “Women do not exist to be nice on the eyes for you. And yet G4 and Xplay have Amouranth on their show prancing around in a bikini…such a sad pathetic hypocrite you are.” Another comment agreed and exclaimed, “There’s no way I see Amouranth’s half-naked a** on a G4TV associated property after Frosk went on that rant about women not being there to be easy on the eyes. I must still be dreaming.”

Others accused the gaming channel of attempting to rebrand itself by enlisting the help of the Twitch celebrity in the wake of a subscriber drop. The Amouranth segment did not enrage everyone, as some G4TV viewers supported the broadcaster during the episode. Others thought it was funny and compared it to vintage Attack of the Show gags.

Froskurinn has yet to remark on or react to the Amouranth episode as of this writing. Many G4 viewers want to know how she feels about the situation. Regardless, the Twitch star’s visit has spurred a discussion among the site’s fans concerning the gaming channel’s future direction.
