A Real Pomegranate As A Controller!

Twitch Streamer Dylan Beck also known as Rudeism completed Hades run by using an actual pomegranate as a controller! The streamer is known for turning anything into a controller.

Hades is a Greek-themed roguelike video game, and Supergiant Games developed it. Playing the game itself can be really hard but one twitch streamer took it to another next level by challenging himself to beat the game in a non-traditional way. He used a controller made out of an actual pomegranate.

Using pomegranates in Hades is a big part of the game because it serves as useful power-ups. It also has an important place in Greek mythology but no one ever imagined that someone could use an actual and real-life pomegranate to defeat the final boss.

Rudeism made the controller by cutting up pomegranate into 10 pieces and then wired all the pieces to a MakeyMakey circuit board so that it would act as capacitive touch buttons, and then he taped an earth wire from his arms to the board. He explained how it works by saying that his arm will be connected to the MakeyMakey via earth wire and then when he touches one of the pomegranates, it will create a loop between him, the pomegranates, and the circuit board.

Six days ago, Rudeism was grinding the game using a pomegranate to perfect it and he tried to finish the game by using a pomegranate controller. He’d been grinding the game ever since and chasing an elusive escape from the Underworld.

After a few nights, Rudeism finally did it and successfully defeated the game’s final boss. Even though he experienced controller failures, he still managed to beat the game.

Using a different and nontraditional controller is Rudeism’s thing. He is known for trying different ways/foods to play games. He also won before an adorable battle royale game called Fall Guys by using Jelly Beans.

Rudeism’s idea was praised by different personalities on the platform and his fans. He is thinking outside the box and that makes him more entertaining to watch.
