xQc Twitch Streaming Deal

It’s only 14 months before Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s exclusive Twitch deal expires in March 2023, when the world’s most popular streamer will be available for streaming free agency once more.

His Twitch exclusivity will end in early March 2023, and the French-Canadian has confirmed to followers that he will be a streaming free agent again in early March 2023. Unlike other streamers, xQc didn’t even tell his viewers that he had signed an exclusive deal with any platform, though Twitch was clearly his first option. Instead, he “stuck to gaming,” adding, “I didn’t say anything either,” because no one else was making a big deal about it at the time.

He’s recently announced that the contract is only good for 14 months. xQc revealed; “Yeah, I’m on a contract right now. It ends in 14 months. Yeah, I’ll be on Twitch for another 14 months.”

Because the exclusivity wars were at their peak in 2020, the gaming goblin most likely signed a three-year contract in March of that year. The arrangement to stream solely on the Amazon-owned platform was a masterstroke in the months that followed, especially after his ascension to the top, regardless of when it was officially inked.

The undisputed king of Twitch, xQc, has recently soared into the stratosphere, especially this year. His ever-expanding social media following now exceeds 9.9 million, and in 2021, he surpassed Alexandre “Gaules” Borba’s total hours watched by more than a million. According to StreamHatchet, the French-Canadian was on air for 3,629 hours last year, with 272.9 million hours of “juicer” followers watching him. Since the start of last year, xQc has missed just twelve days, including two three-day chunks in July, which has only added to his popularity.

Due to his massive, and often astonishing, social media followings and streaming hours, the top Twitch star is an ideal target for YouTube, which continues to add famous streamers to their shopping lists. In recent months, the Google-owned network has signed TimTheTatman, DrLupo, and Ludwig, all of whom have been long-time Twitch regulars.

According to reports, Pokimane, one of Amazon’s most prominent figures, may be on her way out, albeit this is far from confirmed.

With his 14 months remaining in early 2023, Felix has yet to decide if he wants to continue to stream on Twitch or if he wants to test the waters. He admits that that day could be the start of his retirement. xQc replied when asked if he’d be streaming for a long time; “I think until I don’t enjoy it anymore. My chat kinda gets weirded out when I say this, and some people don’t believe me either, I always tell them, if I feel this isn’t it anymore, I’ll quit so fast. It could be tomorrow, or it could be in ten years.”
