xQc Responds To djWHEAT

xQc has been in the news as the largest Twitch streamer to be participating in the newest trend of reacting to TV shows and movies live on stream, and has been criticized for breaking DMCA rules.

Felix “xQc” Lengyel, a Canadian Twitch streamer, responded live to Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham’s tweet blaming his management team for doing a poor job during his most recent broadcast.

When streamer Disguised Toast was reacting to the famous anime Naruto on stream, xQc went on a rant about how unjust the situation was, alleging that no one cared. Toast was well-known for watching Naruto on Netflix, having seen over 150 episodes of the show. He even fell asleep while the show was on, giving his stream a completely free area to view this anime.

xQc’s usual reaction is to shift blame and throw the finger at someone else, but this time it appears that he’s trying to point out how he’s being unfairly mocked for merely being the platform’s largest creator.

Rather than exploiting his position against him, he wants everyone to be held equally accountable so that no one has to bear the brunt of everyone else’s mistakes.

Some people turned to Reddit to express their thoughts on the video, noting that while Toast received some backlash for his streams, xQc is getting a lot more.

One user even pointed out the hypocrisy of a Twitch staff condemning xQc for poor management, implying that he should be more focused on resolving the source of the problem.

It’s strange that a manager of Twitch-related initiatives is criticizing the xQc management team, despite the fact that the company for which he works is effectively allowing this tendency to thrive. Others flocked to Twitter to express their opinions on the matter, with many agreeing that djWHEAT’s remarks are hypocritical.

The issue over reaction content on Twitch is becoming increasingly heated, and with more streamers being targeted by DMCA takedowns, tensions appear to be rising.
