xQc Promised to Gift Twitch Subs to Fans

Twitch streamer Felix Lengyel aka xQc has assured fans that if he starts streams late, he’ll start gifting Twitch subscriptions, after they accused him of being “lazy” owing to his inconsistent schedule.

xQc attacked viewers on October 31st for accusing him of being lazy and arguing that streaming is simple. It happened after he started a stream a little later than normal and considered moving his start times back a little.

He defended himself at the time, challenging them to take over his stream to see how difficult it was. He’s come up with a plan to appease them and help him be more ‘punctual’ now that he’s had time to think about it.

He promised fans not just that he’d be online at a specified hour, but also that if he was late, he’d gift them subs. He declared; “I’ll be live tomorrow by 11 am one-hundred percent. Otherwise, I’m going to give chat 100 subs,”

But, given that this is a drop in the bucket compared to the tens of thousands of people that tune in to watch him live every day, he decided to up the stakes even higher as he continued; “100 subs extra a day for every time that I’m late,”

He also urged followers that if he wasn’t on time, they could bug him about it in chat. For fans, it’s a win-win situation. On the one hand, it will force him to start streams “on-time,” but it also means he may end up gifting thousands of subscribers.

xQc was hilariously late for his next stream. Chat grilled him on the subject, and he responded. “Oh god! Chat wins today, boys. Don’t even say it,” he said. “If you were in chat before the stream started, you got lucky today. Tomorrow, you’ll get 200 if you’re lucky! But it’ll be fine, though. It’s fine! One day at a time. I had to get a little bit more sleep. It is what it is!”

xQc is one of the most active streamers on the platform, despite being late again and despite criticism that he is lazy. So far this year, he’s streamed for almost 3,600 hours, and it’s not ended yet.

He did take a little break from Twitch in July 2021, but other than that, the prominent French-Canadian streamer has been hard at work.
