xQc Ignores Complaints About Twitch Gambling Streams

Twitch star Felix Lengyel aka xQc has come up with a response to the criticism surrounding the controversy about twitch gambling streams. The controversy surrounding the hot tub streams on twitch has seemingly started to die down, however, a new dubious streaming trend is causing alarm as the gambling streams on twitch have become popular on the platform.

As this new trend becomes increasingly popular, some Twitch streamers have begun to express concerns about the impact this could have on younger viewers. Many streamers appear to be divided on the issue as some streamers such as Charlie White aka Cr1tiKaL shares that it could have a major impact on impressionable younger viewers, while WoW streamer Asmongold has called for Twitch to outright ban the streams. Now, economics and esports analyst Ollie Ring accused xQc of promoting gambling in a dangerous way on Twitter. Ollie Ring posted a series of tweets explaining that although he believes gambling can be enjoyed responsibly by most people, he also believes having an influencer with a large, young audience sensationalizing slots could be harmful.

Along with that, he also expressed concern that xQc could face legal action for his gambling streams as xQc is based on Texas in which it is a state with incredibly strict laws where online gambling is prohibited, and playing slots for real money is a crime. In response to this, twitch streamer xQc also tweeted out his response making it abundantly clear that he didn’t care about the criticism at all, no matter who it came from. He wrote; “WAS RESTING ALL DAY. NEEDED THIS. GOING TO CHANCES FOR THE COUPLES GAMES OR WHATEVER WITH LUDWIG. ALL DRAMA RELATED CLAIMS OR QUESTIONS HERE’S MY OFFICIAL RESPONSE: DON’T CARE, KEEP MALDING”.
