Valkyrae Take Of Fake Nintendo Amiibo Ad

A fake Nintendo Amiibo ad featuring Bowser went viral on Twitter, leaving Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter devastated.

When videos or images go popular on the internet, you have to wonder if they’re real or if they’ve been manipulated. The viral graduation tweet featuring xQc, or how a Chinese VTuber staged her own kidnapping, are two outstanding examples of this. Influencers like Valkyrae, co-owner of 100 Thieves, have been “devastated” as a result of a viral false Nintendo ad.

A Twitter user known as ‘SpillaneTPostre’ tweeted a clip from Nintendo’s Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story trailer on June 12th. In the original clip, the Doctor sees Mario and Luigi, but the Twitter video has been modified, and it’s not quite PG. In the 24 hours since it was posted, the tweet has received over 16k retweets and nearly 120k likes. The tweet reads: “Nintendo literally made an ad where bowser has to go to the hospital because he shoved an amiibo of himself up his a*s.”

On her alternate Twitter account, Valkyrae quickly responded, asking her followers to stop tagging her in the tweet since “I’m already devastated.”

Fans were instantly perplexed by the video and why Rae felt compelled to share it in the comments. In any case, Valkyrae’s reaction to the video clearly gave fans a good giggle.
