Twitch Bots Make Tiny Streamers The Most-Followed On The Platform

Botted followers and viewers are still a big issue on Twitch these days. As reported previously, some streamers have had an overnight success on twitch. Some small streamers gained more followers when a bigger streamer shouted them out in the stream or when featured on the homepage of twitch. Twitch botting is becoming more and more of a major issue.

Recently, twitch streamer LosPollosTV became one of the fastest rising personalities on twitch as he never expected to gain over 2 million followers overnight. Also, a few small channels have become some of the fastest growing channels on Twitch and it includes channels like Ezzi, Vision2KZN, and Kaisa. These streamers only streamed to an average of 40, 6, and 83 viewers respectively but then over the past 30 days, they quickly gained around 3 million followers on the platform.

Twitch bots are ruining the ability to keep track of which streamers are actually growing naturally, which is often a way for viewers to find new streamers to watch and these bot follower attacks could be making it harder for streamers to grow as they deserve to. Twitch has, and will, remove the botted followers at times, but it’s still a pretty major issue.
