Streamer Supcaitlin Grandparents Got Raided

It has been revealed that online pranksters who were trying to target a Twitch streamer by sending armed cops to her door actually directed law enforcement to the house of the streamer’s grandparents.

One of the stupidest and riskiest things you can do to someone else is “swatting.” Swatting is the practice of calling the emergency services, typically armed police, to a person’s address under the false pretense of criminal activity, for people who may not be familiar with the phrase. The victim will open the door for armed officers who fear someone at the residence is in danger while being completely oblivious of what is about to happen. You won’t be shocked to find that swatting is a crime. Swatting has resulted in deaths, and those responsible for taking someone else’s life have been sent to prison. Numerous things could go wrong if armed cops were sent to someone’s home.

Numerous things could go wrong if armed cops were sent to someone’s home.  She claimed, “My grandparent’s house got swatted last night because the person who swatted me thought I lived there. My grandparents are fortunately fine, but they are old and don’t speak the best English so they are very scared and confused.”

It’s good to know that Mauro’s grandparents are doing OK, but it’s terrible that the streamer was intended as a target in the first place and even worse that her elderly family were caught in the crossfire.

Unfortunately, swatting well-known Twitch personalities is on the rise, to the point that some streamers, like xQC, have had to relocate.
