Streamer Killadelphia Threatens Twitch

A streamer has suffered tragedy after claiming that their account information was changed, allowing someone to take their payout. Worse yet, Twitch has refused to compensate them.

Twitch streamer that goes by the name ‘Killadelphia’ who primarily plays Call of Duty. He has a Twitch following of over 9,000. However, the streamer has recently been critical of Twitch due to complications with his compensation after claiming his account was hacked and his payout information was changed. Because of this, he’s now threatening legal action over the matter on Twitter.

Killadelphia first mentioned problems with his Twitch account on October 15, stating that someone had signed in and modified his payout information. Since then, the streamer has tweeted multiple times, tagging the streaming platform in an attempt to acquire a better understanding of the situation.

Killadelphia was less than thrilled with the response after finally contacting Twitch Support and receiving a response, screenshotting the email and tagging the platform once more.

This resulted in a last tweet in which he claimed he is taking legal action against Twitch as a result of the payout issue.

Others in the comments echoed Killadelphia’s dissatisfaction with Twitch, with some even claiming to be having similar problems being paid.

This issue appears to be connected to Twitch-connected streamers’ PayPal accounts. However, it is unclear exactly how hackers are able to get past 2-step verification to make these changes. This problem, combined with Twitch’s recent earnings leak, has put the Amazon-owned streaming company in a difficult position.
