Streamer Asmongold Calls Out Haters

People who criticize Twitch streamers over reaction content, according to Asmongold, are “jealous” because they believe streamers are paid millions to do the same things as them.

On Twitch, reaction content is all the rage right now. The’react meta,’ as it was named unofficially, gained traction towards the end of 2021, with streamers like xQc streaming popular reality shows like Masterchef. However, not everyone is on board with it. Viewers have been slamming streamers for months, accusing them of “lazy reactionary content,” yet it hasn’t slowed down in the least. In fact, the’react meta’ exploded into a full-fledged ‘TV show meta,’ resulting in a slew of DMCA strikes and bans. The platform doesn’t have it. Even Pokimane and Disguised Toast were not spared.

Twitch streamer Asmongold has chosen to stay away from the meta. However, people who are angry with streamers doing it are “jealous,” he believes, and he explains why.

Here’s what he stated; “The idea that react content is somehow this super easy lazy meta. I mean, I don’t know about that. Is the react meta really any better than playing Valorant at bronze level? No, I don’t think that it is. I think a lot of people online [are] mainly mad [because] it works and it works so well. There is a huge contingency of people [online] that resent and are jealous that streamers are able to make these huge amounts of money and they’re not.”

These individuals believe they are doing the same things as streamers, such as playing games and watching content, according to Asmongold. That’s why he thinks they’re envious of him. However, there’s more to the hustling than meets the eye. 

Asmongold isn’t one to hold back his opinions. Some people, though, were offended by his remarks. They reacted on social media. In any case, it appears like the react meta is coming to an end. If it doesn’t, Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar believes it will have severe repercussions.
