Asmongold Asked The Devs to Stop The Players From Impersonating Twitch Stars

Twitch streamer Asmongold, who always likes to speak his mind, has explained during his recent stream as to why it is important for the game developers to take action and stop these players from impersonating some twitch stars.

Aside from the stream snipers and cheaters, the players who have been trying to impersonate some of the most popular streamers like xQc have become one of the biggest problems in the game and streamers alike.

These players can easily lock in the name of a streamer who they want to impersonate and take a step further finding ways to mimic them on the microphone to add more authenticity. So, Twitch streamer Asmongold has seems to think of a solution to the problem as he says that the developers of the game need to take further action about this and stop it from happening because any inappropriate behavior they do could damage a streamer’s reputation.

According to Asmongold, he even ran into this kind of player as when he was playing World of Warcraft, he ran off to somebody who made a character named after his name, Asmongold, while running around and yelling racial slurs. He also told his viewers about when he had two encounters with “imposters” pretending to be Twitch streamers Summit1g and xQc on New World.

Asmongold believes that the best solution is to allow streamers to whitelist their names before games go live so they can reserve their names and it is easier for everyone.

Asmongold’s suggestion could solve the problem. However, it raises some questions about how such a system would be implemented and regulated.
