Racist Claims Made By DrLupo

Benjamin Lupo aka DrLupo is a well known Twitch streamer making a name for himself on Fortnite. In the last few years, DrLupo has launched into the most followed accounts of Twitch because of the Epic Games’ Fortnite together with Tyler Blevins aka Ninja who is now the most followed Twitch streamer. Because of his rising popularity on Fortnite, like other streamers, he often gets individuals who are intentionally toxic and make offensive remarks towards him.

DrLupo is said to have struggled with this issue because some of the members of Twitch Community accused his followers by saying that they were racist. In one tweet that was posted, DrLupo was accused of not doing enough about the toxicity of some of his followers. But then he responded and stated; “You’re telling me I’m responsible for the thousands of random people that I don’t know”? On October 30th, a moderator for DrLupo’s Twitch shared a lengthy look at the channel’s history of combating racism and hate in chat.

The user with the user name of IC1415 posted out on Twitter giving examples of messages from banned users in which DrLupo outlines what is not acceptable among his community and it shows the extensive amount of work Lupo and his mods go to in order to keep his community as hate-free as possible. DrLupo responded to this and tweeted out; “I went back and forth as to whether or not I should retweet this, but fuck it – I’m going to. Racism, as always, will never be allowed in my community. Standing up for people is not a “trend” for me. I was raised better than that. Read this. All of it. Be kind to each other”.
