Pokimane’s Take On Sykkuno Leaving Twitch

Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys described why she’s glad Sykkuno quit Twitch for an exclusive agreement with YouTube, adding she enjoys watching people make “a lot of money” from major companies.

On May 2, Sykkuno shocked the globe by announcing a surprise shift to YouTube. KristoferYee claims to have been given a “ridiculous” sum of money to switch platforms. Twitch did try to match the offer, according to Sykkuno, and it almost convinced him. However, he claimed in an email that they misspelled his name, which astonished him so greatly that it swayed his decision.

While supporters who hoped he’d stay on Twitch will be disappointed, Poki said she’s “happy” he switched, saying that streamers securing enormous platform partnerships at the expense of big businesses is a huge win. Poki stated; “I am happy for him, and I want to watch him ‘oh geez!’ it all the way to the bank. All the way to the bank! Yes, sir! Honestly, I’m almost always happy to see someone get a platform deal. Because to me, that’s just, oh my god, a big corporation giving lots of money to somebody I know.”

She then remarked with her best attempt at an evil laugh. “Let’s suck them dry!” referring to streamers receiving big payouts from corporations then adds; “You know? Like, I’m just happy to see people make money!”

Several Twitch streamers have shifted to YouTube in recent years, including Sykkuno. Ludwig, DrLupo, TimTheTatman, and Valkyrae are among those on the list. It’s also expected to have at least five fresh additions. However, not everyone agrees with the concept. xQc, for example, feels that broadcasters will lose their presence on YouTube, while Asmongold claims that some features of YouTube are “garbage” when compared to Twitch. Dr Disrespect, who migrated to YouTube in August 2020 after a mystery Twitch suspension, has recently lashed out against the platform.
