Pokimane Slams Twitch Fans

On of the most popular female streamer on Twitch, Imane Anys aka Pokimane has slammed a slew of Twitch fans who say she was carried to her incredible Valorant rank, calling any claims she isn’t deserving of Immortal status in Riot’s popular shooter “totally brain-dead.”

Immortal is the highest rank in Valorant, and achieving it ranks you among the top 0.4 percent of all Valorant players on the planet. Pokimane, a popular Twitch streamer, just earned this legendary rank after playing Valorant frequently since its beta launch in April of last year. Unfortunately for her, she is a female in the gaming industry, and many people wonder that she rose to the position on her own merits.

While this isn’t the first — and certainly won’t be the last — time Pokimane’s gaming abilities have been questioned because she’s a female, one Twitch fan in particular got under her skin when they accused both her and Courage JD’s fanbases of discriminating against women.

Taking to Twitter, the fan attempted to start a debate with no one in particular by stating that people were slamming Courage for being “taken” to Predator in Apex Legends but applauding Pokimane for doing the same in Valorant.

Pokimane was naturally irritated when he saw the message after opening Twitter on stream.

She responded to it — and other similar comments — by telling her viewers that she sees them all the time, even when she’s minding her own thing. She is unable to open Twitter without seeing at least one of them. In her rage, she came close to responding to the Tweeter’s bait with a “Who the fu*k asked you?” but she managed to hold herself back.

Pokimane is sure to have plenty of video evidence proving that she earned her place among the Immortals, given how long she’s been streaming the game. She has nothing to prove to anyone if she knows she achieved her Immortal status. Anyone who doubts her can at the very least try to prove their case with their own game skills.
