Pokimane Does Collab With El Rubius
Pokimane, a Twitch star, was one of the most recent streamers to enter the interactive world of the seasonal subreddit r/Place. With the support of her fans and other notable content creators who had been working on their own art in the subreddit, the streamer planned to create the official logo for the organization OfflineTV (OTV). Pokimane started a conversation with the Spanish YouTuber El Rubius and sought for his help after being invaded by other communities in the vicinity of her artwork. Pokimane revealed her plans: “I would love your help, and then we can help you in your goals.”
Pokimane was seen live streaming earlier today, and she spent the first part of her video establishing her presence on the r/Place canvas. The April 1 launch of the seasonal subreddit has caught the streaming industry by storm. One of the original Twitch streamers, Mizkif, was one of the pioneers of the Twitch streaming meta. Poki picked what to draw right at the start of her stream. She displayed artwork with the logo of her organization, OfflineTV, and invited her Twitch chat audience to assist her in creating the brand. The Twitch star, however, requested assistance from other content creators after being invaded by several other communities.
The Twitch streamer connected with El Rubius, one of the most popular Spanish YouTubers with over 40 million subscribers, after streaming for around an hour. Poki began a diplomatic discourse with El Rubius with the following message: “Hello! How are you? Okay, so I’ve been trying to make a little OfflineTV logo. It looks like a little happy television, right. And then the Polish invaded! Actually, the whites (white pixels) invaded first, and then the Polish invaded.”
Rubius made his proposal. He stated, “Okay, so I have an offer for you, okay. I can help you sustain or make the OfflineTV and try to sustain it. But, you have to help us attack France whenever we want.”
When the Twitch streamer heard the YouTuber’s proposal, he was taken aback. In an attempt to negotiate the trade discreetly, she countered by saying: “Okay, how about this, I will trade you one time. You helped me this one time, we do not need to sustain this, and I will trade you for one attack on France. One attack for one time OfflineTV logo, and I’ll pretend I don’t know how to speak French.”
El Rubius paused for a few moments, thinking about what Poki had said. He then asked if Poki was Canadian, to which she replied that she was. Pokimane tried to persuade the YouTube content creator by saying: “But, hear me out. I’m actually born in Morocco, and Morocco used to be a French colony, so France attacked me first. So I think I am therefore allowed to attack them back one time.”
El Rubius agreed with what the Twitch streamer had to say, saying: “Okay, yeah, that makes sense. Um, okay. But what can we do, like, because we’re having problems on the left corner, uh, down. You see that giant K?”
Poki looked through the subreddit to figure out what El Rubius was talking about. El Rubius informed her that his community would assist the Twitch streamer in a few hours while she was browsing. El Rubius responded to Poki’s claim that the Polish community has begun to attack her OfflineTV once more: “Okay, in two hours we’re going to make a big attack on the French people. So, if you’re here I can help you now with OfflineTV.”
Soon after, both content creator communities came together and set out to fulfill their respective objectives.
