Nintendo Insider Hints Of Special Edition Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

After Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was completed, the Smash community found it hard to believe that creator Sakurai would truly take time off to rest, hang out with his cat, and go on road trips. In interviews, he stated that Smash had a bright future, but he wasn’t sure what that future would entail. Now, it appears that a Nintendo insider may have some answers.

When it comes to Super Smash Bros. According to a well-known leaker, the roster and character balances for Ultimate have been completed, and a new edition of the game could be launched in 2022. The special version will be released in January or February, according to HotGirlVideos69, who has previously leaked details about other Nintendo games. 

The edition will include all of the challenger packs and fighters that were previously released separately from the main game over the last few years, according to the tweet. The new version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will allegedly cost $89.99, which would be a good deal for anyone who doesn’t already have the game since Ultimate itself is $60 and each fighter pack is $20. 

Even those who already own Smash and all of the fighter passes may be enticed, since the special edition of the game has the potential to become a collector’s item. However, it’s unclear whether there will be special packaging or anything else to make the game worthwhile for avid Ultimate players who already own all of the DLC.

The Smash community reacted positively to the leak, stating that it would be a fantastic deal. Others wondered if it will arrive with World of Light updates.

Nintendo, on the other hand, has yet to make any news about a special edition of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While HotGirlVideos69 has appeared to be somewhat involved with Breath of the Wild behind-the-scenes news, it’s unclear how they would have access to any Smash knowledge. For the time being, this is only a rumor.
