Korean Overwatch Account Is Banned From Twitch

Overwatch fans are perplexed as to why Twitch banned the official Korean Overwatch account.

OverwatchKR was suspended from the streaming site on March 24th, according to the Overwatch community. This is the official Overwatch account in Korea, thus it’s unexpected to see it in difficulty on Twitch. The account has been down for the past five days. On March 18th, OverwatchKR went live for the last time, broadcasting a match between Talon and O2 Blast. On March 24th, the account, which is an official Twitch Partner, was banned. Since then, fans have been wondering what happened to the account, which has now been made public.

OverwatchKR may have broken community guidelines in some way, but the specifics are unknown. Overwatch fans were ecstatic by the turn of events. Many joked that the account wasn’t blocked, but rather perished because it didn’t have anything worth sharing. Overwatch is “dead,” according to the responses, with one individual mocking the fact that it is still a thing and another saying “barely.”

While Overwatch isn’t as popular as it once was, the upcoming Overwatch 2 beta has sparked renewed interest in the game. If Blizzard wants to display pros playing Overwatch 2 in the near future, the OverwatchKR account being offline could be a problem.

The Overwatch 2 beta will be available on April 26th, according to Blizzard. The Overwatch fandom will be relieved to get a specific release date after being kept in the dark for the past few years as Overwatch 2 was repeatedly postponed. The bad news is that the beta is currently closed and only available to PC players.
