Kassad And Cloud9 Part Ways

Aleksandar Trifunović, more commonly known as Kassad, is a Serbian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coach and a former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike player. He recently coached the organization Cloud9. However, after less than four months, Kassad is no longer the head coach of Cloud9 CS:GO.

During Kassad’s time with Cloud9, he was the first member of the division as he helped Greer build out the lineup. According to General Manager HenryG, they came up with this decision because of a recent stylistic clash between Alex and Kassad’s game, leading to too many compromises from a strategic point of view. General Manager HenryG further explained that he felt that it was the right time to make that decision while it is still the player’s break for them to prepare for the next season. He also explained that he is still deciding which path to follow regarding the position.

Cloud9’s official twitter account posted out on twitter, announcing the news to their fans as they posted; “Today we’re sad to announce that #C9CSGO is parting ways with our Head Coach @kassad. Thank you for everything you’ve done to help lay the foundations for the Colossus. We wish you the best in the future!”
