ExtraEmily Left Embarrassed

ExtraEmily, a Twitch streamer and recent OTK star, was humiliated after assuming a passerby was a Twitch fan when asked to take a picture.

One of OTK’s newest broadcasters was completely taken aback during an awkward encounter with a stranger whom she confused for a fan. Over the past year, ExtraEmily’s viewership has increased dramatically. She frequently broadcasts a range of material, such as speedrunning and IRL streams. She was invited to join OTK earlier this year as a result of her popularity as a streamer, and she will soon begin hosting her own show, “Wheel of Chaos.”

Days following the announcement, however, the streamer ran encountered someone she mistakenly believed to be a fan while doing an in-person stream while out and about in New York City. Emily removed her poop emoji costume after being asked by the person named Jason if she may take a picture of them. Of course, Emily agreed.

Jason was prepared to pose for the picture when Emily came up to him to snap a selfie. Jason queried Emily, “oh… together?” with obvious confusion. After a brief period of awkward quiet, Emily suddenly started giggling after recognizing her error and started taking regular pictures of Jason. The subsequent profuse apologies from both of them made for a really sweet but humorous Twitch moment. This exchange stands in sharp contrast to one ExtraEmily had with a random streamer earlier. A woman interrupted her video and made a racist remark to her last year while she was streaming in real life at a McDonald’s.

Redditors have criticized this more recent interaction as being staged because Jason initially recognized Emily after inquiring about her involvement with OTK prior to this interaction. The variety streamer was the target of Reddit users’ suspicions that Jason was either a “paid actor” or that he was merely “trolling” the user. The encounter was amusing, and ExtraEmily and her entire chat singled it out as an almost grounding moment for ExtraEmily’s historic development as a streamer, despite Redditors’ concerns about the person asking for the photo.
