Dream Hits Back Hard

Dream responded to critics who claimed he didn’t deserve the honor by encouraging them to “stay mad” before celebrating his triumph at The Game Awards 2021 Content Creator of the Year.

The Game Awards, which honor high-achievers in the gaming and esports industries, as well as content creators, are no longer being held in 2021. As a result, there will be a Content Creator of the Year award. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek, and Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter are among the previous winners. Dream, on the other hand, was the winner this time.

His fans were ecstatic, proclaiming that it was well-deserved and that they were proud of what he had accomplished. Haters, on the other hand, showered down on their parade, leading Dream to retaliate with his own remarks. Dream said; “Everyone that’s mad that I won can stay mad! There’s so many people that were deserving of recognition for the amazing things they’ve done this year, including the other nominees and tons of others that weren’t nominated. I still hope they get as much appreciation as possible.”

Dream admitted that Ludwig would have been his pick for the award. He did, however, lash out at his critics after recognizing that differing viewpoints are inevitable: “I won, so absolutely positively suck my ass.”

This isn’t Dream’s first honor since breaking onto the scene. He got the Streamy Award for Gaming in 2020. The Game Awards, on the other hand, are perhaps more prestigious due to their overwhelming popularity. Dream’s empire has grown to 27.5 million YouTube subscribers and 5.7 million Twitch followers, and there are no indicators that his meteoric climb to popularity will slow down anytime soon.
