DrDisRespect Knocks DMCA

Guy Beahm aka DrDisRespect recently gave a hilarious response to streamers Cloakzy and Nickmercs‘ post. DMCA takedowns have been haunting Twitch streamers with some having their channels banned because of copyright music found in their clips and VOD’s. Now, one of the most popular twitch streamers Nickmercs who has over 4.5 million followers on Twitch, tweeted out a post announcing that he will be taking down a lot of his content from his Twitch channel due to a DMCA strike.

He stated on Twitter; “Got smacked with the ole DMCA today. Can’t say I’m surprised, lowkey was askin’ for it. No trip to bora bora for your boy unfortunately & everything will have to be deleted tonight. GG’s, sugma, P&L”.

Because of his twitter post, Cloakzy retweeted it and thought that it would be a nice idea to bring DrDisRespect into the scene by stating; “Just listen to @drdisrespect on repeat like I do”. This is because DrDisRespect had two songs made for him by artist J+1 and his son Alleyways and was allegedly played during an NBA match.

DrDisRespect gave a hilarious response to their tweet. He responded; “Expect a DMCA email soon from my team’.

He was obviously just joking but it seemed like he was taking a subtle dig at Twitch here. DrDisRespect has also done this before wherein he stated on Twitter that anyone, including twitch streamers, could use his song in their videos.
