‘Double Standards’ By FFXIV Players To Its Developer

American YouTubes and Twitch Streamer Zack AKA Asmongold has been streaming Final Fantasy XIV Online for a few days but he already seems to be having a better time with stream snipers compared with World of Warcraft. Many are not happy about the special treatment from the game’s developers.

Asmongold is a well-known streamer on Twitch and without a doubt has made waves in recent days after he switched his attention to Final Fantasy XIV Online. His journey has already been eventful from Azerothto Hydaelyn, he ranked in over $30K in one stream and got called an “asshole” by an actual Blizzard employee shortly after making the move.

Now, video game publisher Square Enix seems to be trying up its game by banning people who are stream sniping. Many are not happy with it because according to many players that kind of perk seems to be exclusive.

Asmongold tweeted on July 6th saying that Square Enix is banning clowns who spent hours running after him and stream sniping. He finds it awesome and says it’s incredible how easy of a problem it is to solve when a company actually cares for its players and users.

Some understand why Asmongold would be so hyped about it but many are not happy about it. One streamer AnnieFuchsia shared Asmongold’s subreddit and said that she experienced the opposite of Asmongold’s experience. She later clarified that her comments were not directed to Square Enix but to Blizzard.

FFXIV has been one of the most popular and top games since Asmongoldstarted playing it.

Whether or not the devs of FFXIVwill start cracking down stream snipers across the board, though, remains to be seen.
