DMCA Strike Against Pokimane

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act or simply DMCA is still an ongoing issue on the Twitch platform. It is turning into a nightmare for some streamers, as every streamer on the platform including popular streamers have deleted their past clips and VODs in order to avoid getting banned.

Recently, Twitch streamer Imane anys aka Pokimane shared a screenshot of a support message she got from Twitter, informing her that her account had been locked. According to the message, they informed her that she posted content that infringed on certain copyright. She went on to share the tweets that Twitter had her remove due to the complaint. The first tweet was a TikTok video that Poki made to the song ‘Say so’ by Doja Cat.

It also appears that Twitter also deleted a tweet from Poki that said, “I love girls.” Her fans and supporters are trying to figure out how this tweet infringed any copyrights. She responded to them by saying that her lawyers will be reaching out to the authorities.
