Disguised Toast Offers Some Advice On New Streamers

Twitch streamer Jeremy Wang aka Disguised Toast has posted a new video explaining why he believes just streaming on Amazon’s platform isn’t a smart approach for ambitious streamers.

There are numerous ways to become a well-known Twitch streamer. Some people are born entertainers, some are masters of their chosen games, and yet others are one-of-a-kind content creators.

Disguised Toast, a prominent streamer, has aided the popularity of other creators. Kkatamina, a streamer, recently thanked Toast for assisting her in her growth on the platform. Following that, he made a YouTube video demonstrating how others can reach the same level of accomplishment.

Toast produced a video titled “this ONE trick will make you a famous streamer…” on November 28. Throughout the video, he outlined two key paths aspiring broadcasters can take to become successful, and cautioned against relying solely on Twitch for content. He stated; “You should never begin your streaming career by making a Twitch account, and just starting to stream. Because you will not get any viewers. You guys know how bad the Twitch discovery system is?”

He then went on to call the discovery system “s**t,” adding, “If your strategy to become a streamer is to just start streaming and pray for the best it won’t work, you would require luck… So I always say if you want to start content creation, specifically streaming, to never start streaming as your first plan of action.”

The first is to be a good player at the game you broadcast, according to Toast. The second is to be a good player at the game you broadcast. The second option is to establish a presence on a different site, such as YouTube, Reddit, or TikTok, by providing unique content on the subjects or games that interest you. He added that the second path is the one he pursued and that he would recommend it to the majority of people because becoming a top player in a certain game is extremely difficult.

He finished off by stating; “If you want to be a big Twitch streamer, don’t start streaming on Twitch. Start anywhere else with a good algorithm. Find out what’s popular, build an audience there, then eventually transition into streaming once you’ve given people a reason to care about your content. You have to set yourself apart from everyone else.”
