Disguised Toast And Trends

Disguised Toast, a popular Twitch streamer, has expressed his thoughts on a variety of topics related to the platform on several occasions. He recently discussed how streamers are holding to much safer content in order to avoid being banned, citing numerous streams who just watch MasterChef as an example.

The fear of taking risks, according to Disguised Toast, may be one of the reasons why the social media platform YouTube is a better platform for the growth of young content creators. Since his return to Twitch in November 2021, he has been outspoken about his beliefs.

According to Toast, the majority of new and fresh faces on Twitch like to follow trends and are thus afraid to broadcast anything outside of the established standard owing to the risk of violating guidelines, which could result in their channel being suspended. He pokes fun at the current situation by mentioning notable Twitch streamers such as xQc and HasanAbi, who broadcast their watch-throughs of the popular cookery show MasterChef, which is currently trending in the community.

Here’s what he stated; “Everyone starts watching MasterChef, ‘But guys why aren’t you watching anything else?’, Well, I don’t want to take that risk.”

He then went on to compare other streamers’ unwillingness to take risks to the glass stepping challenge from Squid Game. He further added; “You see one guy just to a glass pane, and he doesn’t fall to his death, and everyone jumps on it. People are too scared to do that, and they don’t want to risk their livelihood. So here I come with the Naruto glass pane, ‘Oh, we’re jumping on Naruto glass panes? F**k it! I’m gonna go.’ It’s only been a week, and it hasn’t broken yet. Now what?”

Toast was alluding to a recent stream in which he had watched complete episodes of Naruto without receiving any strikes. Overall, he wants to call attention to this issue so that other streamers understand the value of creative freedom and may come up with original ideas and content.
