Castro Snaps His Controller In A Rage

After a near-miss in the dying stages of a close FIFA 22 match, popular Twitch streamer ‘Castro_1021’ popped off, leaving him with one less Xbox controller in his collection.

Despite the fact that EA Sports published a new version of their iconic football simulator, FIFA 22 maintains the same level of tension and intensity that resulted in some spectacular rage-inducing moments from players. Fans of the long-running FIFA Ultimate Team streamer know that if there’s a FIFA game to be played, he’ll be there opening packs, formulating lineups, and climbing online ladders.

Castro was back in the trenches of online play, this time in a tense back-and-forth with a single opponent. FIFA can get hot at times, but that’s because strange things happen.

That’s the type of match Castro faced during his October 5 live broadcast, in which he did well in a laggy game and came close to a clutch finish — but was narrowly denied. Castro headed into the second half tied at 1-1 after responding to an early goal. Given his lag issues, getting anything started in his attacking third was a welcome relief.

The Twitch streamer was then knocked out 1-2. This is where the average FIFA player instinctively stops themself from launching the nearest object into the air. That object is frequently what they already have in their hands. The game came down to the wire, where Castro had the momentum to steal a tie, but his FUT strikers just weren’t online that match.

His final chance was saved by a flying goalkeeper, and that was the end of it. Because of this, Castro savagely murdered his controller, slamming it down so hard on the floor that it rebounded up to his height. Castro was in fine gamer-rage form, leaning safely away from the control that was about to pop. However, that was the end of his “favorite” Xbox controller’s life.
