Asmongold’s Mother Given In-Game Tribute

Several tributes to Asmongold’s late mother in Final Fantasy XIV have been organized by the Final Fantasy XIV community.

Twitch star Asmongold announced last October 29th that his mother had died earlier that week. The streamer had been very open about her illness and admitted that he had saved her from a fire that had started in their family home.

The Final Fantasy XIV: Online community was quick to pay tribute to his mother as tributes and well wishes poured in. Players from all over Eorzea have created moving tributes to “Asmom,” with FFXIV stars like RinKarigani holding vigils of remembrance.

Despite the fact that pillars from all over the streaming community have joined the chorus, swaths of FFXIV fans have erected monuments to commemorate the tragic announcement.

A popular Glamor tutorial channel called The Fashionista expressed their condolences in a moving video on October 31st. The short clip is a beautiful memorial, featuring the channel’s iconic news specialist Lulu, standing on top of a mountain as the sun sets.

We see a clip from FFXIV legend RinKarigani, who organized an in-game memorial ceremony, near the end of the video. Players are seen kneeling in front of their own campfires, with Rin exclaiming, “It’s really, really hard.” You can share your stories if you want to, but you are not obligated to.

In addition, Asmongold’s official subreddit is flooded with players paying tribute to his mother in-game and in real life.
