Asmongold Considers Quitting Twitch

During a recent live broadcast, Twitch streamer and a well-known World Of Warcraft streamer Asmongold has opened up about wanting to quit streaming as he said that he seems to not be enjoying himself anymore.

Asmongold is a prominent figure in the Twitch and World of Warcraft community with over 2.3 million followers on the Amazon-owned streaming platform. He is also known to be outspoken over various contentious matters on Twitch, having previously voiced his opinion over the gambling stream drama and the Activision Blizzard harassment lawsuit.

He also has expressed frustration over situations involved in streaming before. He’s even been known to take a hiatus from Twitch every now and then and eventually get back into a place where he feels that he can enjoy himself when he’s streaming.

However, during his most recent live broadcast, Asmongold didn’t make comments about just taking a break, instead, he talked about quitting altogether, as the frustration level has gotten quite high. He started off by possibly quitting, saying that he likes to just have fun and play things up. But added that if he can’t have fun and if he has to constantly watch what he says because people are going to take it and use it as ammo against him, he’s going to quit.

He also added, stating; “There’s a big part of me that just wants to quit, I don’t want to do it anymore. It’s not fun, I’m not enjoying myself, and if it keeps up this way I probably will. I hate to say it, but I don’t want to deal with this anymore.”

For now, it remains to be seen what will happen, but Asmongold does note that he doesn’t have to stream anymore and that the reason he still streams is purely to have fun. So of course, if the fun dries up, so will the streamer’s will to continue.
