Among Us Has Copycat

Epic Games released its new Fortnite limited-time game mode named The Spy Within. This new game mode will have two spies trying to deceive and assassinate their way to victory while the rest of the players look to flush them out.

In their announcement, they stated that; “Several key islands have been infiltrated by Spies. Track them down and flush them out. Watch your back, you’ll be arriving at each location with limited information. We don’t know who the Spies are, so don’t trust anyone. We can trust you, right”?

It seems that Epic Games’ Fortnite is trying to imitate the newly popular game Among Us which also has two imposters in the game while the crewmates are trying to find out who it is. In the past, Epic Games has faced legal action for Fortnite being a derivative of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

The new game mode on Fortnite works similar to Among Us, with some slight differences as each game will have 10 players with two being secret spies while the other eight players are called agents. The agents can win by collecting coins or identifying who are the spies while the spies can win by assassinating all the agents.
